Learn More About Entertaiment
In the fall of 2011, T E News asked its readers to share their ideas on what “Entertainment” meant. The responses we received were varied and interesting, as well as indicative of the broad range of activities that can fall under this rubric:
Merriam-Webster’s definition of the word is an agreeable occupation for the mind; a diversion; amusement: The daily crossword puzzle provides entertainment for many.
According to Bates and Ferri (2010), “Entertainment is understood objectively, involves communication between text and audience, comes from an external stimulus, offers pleasure, requires an audience to exist, and occurs in a passive form.” See the full article by clicking on the link below.
