Entertaiment
The word entertain is derived from the Latin verb entretenere, which means “to amuse, distract, or delight.” The clown at the birthday party, the Broadway show, the stadium rock concert, and even your friends fighting over the last potato chip are all forms of entertainment. Oftentimes, what is entertaining to one person may be the opposite for another. This is because entertainment tends to hit on deep emotional and psychological reactions that the human brain was shaped to deeply understand in order to function in a social world. This includes themes such as backstabbing, murders and other things that people would normally be very wary of in the real world.
